World XI to attend Misbah, Younis and Afridi's farewell ceremony
The farewell ceremony will be hosted by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The three-match Twenty20 series between Pakistan and the World XI is square 1-1, and both teams will enjoy an off-day today before the final encounter on Friday.
The World XI squad, Pakistan team and former cricketers along with other dignitaries will attend a farewell ceremony that has been Thursday arranged by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to honor ex-captains Misbah-ul-Haq, Shahid Afridi and Younis Khan to acknowledge their contributions for Pakistan.
On the other hand, former skipper and leading run-scorer for Pakistan in Tests Younis Khan has refused to attend the farewell gathering. The legendary batsman took to Twitter and said, “It’s official I will not attend a farewell reception being hosted by PCB for me, Misbah & Shahid Afridi next week.”

The event will however be held according to the plan. The final match of the Independence Cup, which has turned out to be the series decider, will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium tomorrow at 07:00PM.
It is worth mentioning here that the World XI defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the second T20 to level the series owing to wonderful performances by Hashim Amla and Thisara Perera.
